Description
Summary
Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a heterodimeric glycoprotein hormone composed of an alpha and beta subunit, structurally related to luteinizing hormone (LH) and acting on the same LH/CG receptor. Endogenously, HCG is produced by trophoblast cells during early pregnancy, where it supports corpus luteum function and progesterone secretion; exogenous and recombinant HCG preparations are widely used in research to probe gonadotropin signaling, steroidogenesis, and reproductive endocrinology.
Clinical Data
HCG binds to LH/CG receptors in gonadal tissue, activating cyclic AMP–protein kinase A signaling cascades that drive steroid hormone synthesis and gametogenic processes in experimental models. In vitro and in vivo studies show that HCG can stimulate androgen production in Leydig cells, support luteal function, and modulate cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis, making it a versatile tool for investigating fertility pathways, hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis dynamics, and tumor biology. Laboratory-grade and recombinant HCG are typically supplied as lyophilised powders purified from biological or mammalian-cell sources, then reconstituted under controlled conditions for use in bioassays, immunoassay calibration, and mechanistic endocrine research.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ideal storage can differ between different peptides. TransformPeptides preserves unreconstituted lyophilized peptides in a freezer (-20°C) for long-term stability. Refrigeration (1-8°C) is suitable for the storage of lyophilized peptides for at least 3 months after delivery. Reconstituted peptide storage conditions and stability/potency timeframes may differ. All Bacteriostatic and Sterile water should be kept in the fridge (1-8°C) to maintain sterility.
To calculate a desired dosage for any given peptide, please see our Peptide Calculator page. The tool calculates reconstitution volumes, concentrations, and dosage measurements with a visual syringe guide.
TransformPeptides currently offers a range of high-purity peptides which can be seen here on our website. TransformPharma however is a parent company of TransformPeptides which does offer other products. To view the catalogue of TransformPharma, please join our telegram channel.
Yes. We have a dedicated page on our website showcasing our certificates of analysis (COA) as well as providing guidance on how to verify third-party lab testing reports. These documents include purity testing results and other quality assurance data from accredited laboratories.
Currently TransformPeptides only ships to locations within Australia. Orders are shipped via AusPost from Canberra, ACT with an average 48-hour fulfilment time and full tracking included.
